1. Promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of Middle East and North Africa
2. Introduces and enhances understanding of the history, politics, and religions of the Middle East and North Africa as well as the region's diverse cultures
3. Encourages inter-cultural dialogue that could help bridge the divide between East and West
4. Provides a program that will formally document a student's concentrated study of the Middle East and North Africa.

Individual classes in beginning and intermediate Arabic and Hebrew are also offered.
Arabic Club at CNU is a cultural organization that strives to foster a better understanding of the Arabic culture on campus via movie nights, cultural events, and discussions. Entry into the club is available to all CNU students.
Students involved in the program are also able to participate in many learning activities outside the classroom such as a weekly conversation hour, conference trips, and teaching English to native Arabic speakers.
